Seeing Only You

Seeing Only You

A Poem by turtlegirlluver
"

A guy tries to hides his feelings about a girl, and she is trying to figure out how he feels about her.

"

In the hall,

she glances back behind her,

and sees a guy staring back,

through all the people,

across the hall,

both their eyes have met.

She turns away,

before much time had passed,

her head begins to spin,

they had made eye contact once again.

She had thought it through,

but it just kept happening,

and she didn't know what it meant.

What if he really did like her?

'But,' she wondered,

'Could I ever like him?'

Two classes later,

the girl and guy sit three rows away.

"Wen hast du am liebsten?"

The teacher asks as she jokes with the guy.

Whom do you prefer?

He glances upward,

but his mouth stays closed.

The class turns back to the board,

yet, he turns his gaze upon the girl,

'When will she realize,' he thought,

'How much I really like her?'

The days go by,

and when she looks up,

their eyes lock again,

the girl quickens her speed,

and wonders,

'What does it really mean?'
