My Favorite Song

A paragraph about my favorite song for a contest.

The song that can make me stop what I'm doing, close my eyes, and listen is 'When You Look Me In the Eyes' by the Jonas Brothers. I know some people don't like the group, but for me, it's not about who sings it, it's about the meaning inside. The genre is pop rock. I like the song because I can relate to it. It also has a good beat, catchy lyrics, and above all, a deep meaning. For me it's almost as they took the feelings inside my head and made a song out of it. This song is about love and how everything is okay when the other person 'looks you in the eyes'. I can relate to this because, I can have the worst day ever, but when I get to talk to that special someone, my day is happy. "I can't take a day without you here, you're the light that makes my darkness disappear." This part relates to my life so much. I feel the need to see him everyday, and when I don't my hopes crash around me. When we do get a chance to talk, I can feel a burden lift off my shoulders. "I can reach my tomorrow, I can hold my head up high, and it's all because you're by my side." If there is something that I'm not looking forward to, all I have to think of is seeing him, and I can get through. I am anxious to face my day, to see where our conversation brings us. The lyrics go on and the same personal connection still happens. When the song ends, I sit there in silence, as I realize how lucky I am to have this love in my life.
