Natural Disasters

Natural Disasters

A Poem by Ina
"

The pain of love ruins my mind.

"
Love is a natural disaster.
Like a hurricane its anguish is trapped between the shades of blue,
its pain knows the depths of the oceans, yet clings to the freedom of the sky.

Love is a natural disaster.
Like a tornado tormented with the weight of debris it rips up the soul,
its agony gyrates the emotions, withering inside itself with the ruins of scattered wind.

Love is a natural disaster.
Like an earthquake it breaks the spirit causing erosion between plates of passion & sorrow,
its distress caught rasping the nerves, caving within a comfortable burial of earth.

Love is a natural disaster.
Like a tsunami rushing with panic as it seeks out its wreckage in the mind,
its grief rising fast alongside its regret, absorbed like a sponge all the sorrows of the sea.

This really good work. You have a great imagination and a good detail for the right words.

Heartbreak is organic and necessary much like natural disasters which is why I think this piece works so well. Very well done.
