Silence

Silence

A Poem by Rico
"

Words that silence speaks.

"

Is there a reason for your leaving?

One I can understand.

Your silence does not tell me

If there will be another chance

Will no more I feel your touch?

No longer taste your lips

Will no more I feel your heart?

Pounding against my chest?

The home we built is but a house

That holds this empty being

The photographs on mantel high

Show not my daily grieving.

For days on end I have waited

To hear but a faint hello

To see a glimpse of yesterday

Another time before you go.

My heart will be forever yours

To do with as you please.

Today your silence screams to me

For today you take your leave.
