The HeistA Poem by Tumihumorous‘The Great Heist”
Nine and nine nights, the thieves had a party Stealing my Favorite snack and my special soccer trophy Left me with nothing but a note that said: “Thanks for the presents, you are the best host instead!”
Fear had me in its sway, yet I recover still Stronger with armor and a shiny starch too Deeper army like voice, I rehearsed, with my army Waiting patiently for another festive day
Hard punches landing on the door The owner’s vengeful day arrived Strongly wielding my chain of armor. I gathered my soldiers’ battalions, in lizard, As we marched along, the corridors.
Bullet’s stings, grazed upon my shoulder There arise faint whispers by my side the bees of chaos, buzzed to my hearing Darkness glooms surround, I forgot to stay bold
Standing up in repose, a standing commando Words failed me, dumb as a dumbass Slaps across my face, strongly like a tornado Oh! My balance fell horribly atlas
Still musing, smiling half in cloak of sleep I was like, “dude keep the polished TV, Why hurt the poor cheesy tray’? The thought of my home now lost in deep Left bleeding, with bruise color Of sunflower Among torn wrappers of Halloween's candy.
My heart painfully recalls, my mama’s adage “Many days are for the thieves, But arrives a day when the owner leads”. Oh! How I long to raid their petty heist
On these words I patiently wait. As my home, naked by their hurtful claws Bared down, left in a shattered state
Bare walls standing in hilarious reflection Naked abruptly, “where did the paintings go” My soul shattered by comical contraction Now left with nothing but a broken nose
Now I descend from the rooftop, Killing the fear that was besieged me Howling in loud chuckles, embracing defeats my home, a battleground, for thieves to meet
