Heartstrings of Sorrow

 

Heart filled with sorrow

Lingering aches, arrows stings

Pins my heart within

 

Leg crawl in sorrow

Silent memories creeping

Bitter morrow looms

 

Eyes grow frail in pain

Tears well up, pain stings my heart

I rise from its pangs

Not lying still, but rising up amidst the pangs is what we must do. Sadly, not everyone has the strength or will to do so. These words are, as you put it, are poignant and sad, but the last line provides hope.

Amazing Senryu (Haiku is about nature and Senryu is about everything else which is not nature)(They have the same 5, 7, 5 x 3 line rules) about heartbreak. You fleck an excellent picture for your reader of the sting which the emotional pain causes and the bitter memories which haunt. Lovely work, Tumi. Very finely penned! Thank you for sharing...
