![]() Withering SONNETA Poem by Tumi![]() poignant![]() Withered (Sonnet)
This day, I’m feeling like a broken flower that found relief within sun’s warming blaze. Adhered beneath dark twilight’s shady hour of withered trees, in Autumn's splendored haze.
While withering away, wild whirlwinds reign pon empty rumors, no one can acclaim. Despite rain patters’ softly wet refrain, I yet stay firm, unbowed by deepest shame.
As sighing trees shield embryo sun rays, like dirges rising, I rose with belief. Hard gales wailed fiercely, blowing pains away, their urgent whistles found me much relief.
A chance to rise again from trembling tears … a chance to break the chains that fuel my fears. © 2024 TumiAuthor's Note
