Farewell,
My Love, As Death Draws Near
Tears
drop well up at one,
blinding your eyes,
A mixture of shock and sorrow,
blurring your sight.
Faith and death laid their icy hands on my breath,
My departure draws near
as my health slips away.
As
I take my leave,
my heart whispers warnings:
Tread carefully, dear love,
as night’s chills encircle your path,
Away, to the hell’s threshold.
Remember
the soft whisper,
the warm embrace,
As I drift away
into the cold of the night.
Recall the stolen kisses we shared,
The oath we made,
now a bitter regret.
But,
farewell, my love,
as death draws near.
Life's winds howl,
and death's gloom chills my soul.
Like a lovebird's final, mournful song,
I take my final flight,
with wings heavy with sorrow,
Into realms unknown.
You
endure, while I find rest
'neath the hollow hill.
Pain's venom of longing spreads,
a bittersweet ache.
As you slumber, dear love, remain wary:
In every gaze, lurking shadow creeps.
Beneath each smile, a deceitful mask lies deep.
An
eagle creeps silently,
stealing hope unseen.
A hawk amongst a flock,
its claws bared to strike,
Their tears spill like black ink,
staining the well of joy.
Behind a false mask,
their hollow heart hides;
words slice like shards of ice.
Stay
calm like a summer breeze,
yet remain vigilant.
Of danger and lust, remain alert.
Though they sing their psalms,
with fragile drops falling,
Their words entice, yet vanish,
careless and cold.
Do
not cling to pain;
each tear a storm-wind's sting,
Each drop a sharpened gust,
cutting wings mid-flight.
Through my heart, agony and fear grow near;
The whirlwind looms on the horizon,
thick with dread.
When
breath departs and sorrow begins,
I lie dead.
Seek shelter in my words,
a glowing ember’s warmth.
Let it be your guiding light,
shining brave and bold.
My spirit will wander restless,
lost in eternal realms, in cold.
Haunted
by darkness,
tormented by its fading gleam,
If the Lord grants us peace,
May our souls take flight once more,
Together, in the embrace of stars,
we will shine afresh.
