Angel of Light

Angel of Light

ANGELS OF LIGHT

My king,

we have come from a faraway land

We angels of light

From the stars you see

when you look to the sky

we were sent by the mighty

as blessing to your lovely land

We come in peace

We come with love

Being an angel of peace

We come with gifts of love

“white lords

Your faces were as light and bright

As the sun

Your eyes were as fresh and white

Like the snow

You skin glows

In the darkness of our night

And your clothes I behold

Where of angels and a host

I welcome you my white lords

With the voice of our land

I greet you

With your words of wisdom

Your light the brightest

Your elegance the fairest

Your glory beyond Everest

Your slings of war

Are far beyond

Your guns and sword

Were like the words of a god

That commands death

In a twinkle of an eye

That seizes breath

Before they look at your eyes

You come in peace

With your good tiding

Your strength as the beast

I bow before thee

Who speaks, the words of the gods

And giveth lives

To whom you want

I pay homage to the gods of my gods

The lords of my lords

The angel of light

The one from above

We welcome with love and fairness of heart

We embrace with joy

You shall live in our land

Your words my king

Are the words of the wise

You know our gifts

And we shall live in your land

Now make us the prettiest tents

Change our clothes

We shall tell you while we were sent

To your ugly world

Where darkness was seen as light

To you, dark foes

We shall rule your land

For the lord commands

 who rules and leads

The lord as chosen

We light from the east

To bring light to your darken minds

We ought to be gone

By the flow of time

We ought to leave

But with some of your subjects as slaves

We shall exchange their bodies

For knives

A thousand more

For an umbrella to shield your

Head against the rays of the sun

We shall give your land the grandest of joy

And give you an armor

To command death

With a sharp sound

We shall have your women as slaves

To please our night

They shall lay in their nakedness

We shall purify their minds

Your children shall be with us

And follow us to the kingdoms beyond

They shall learn and bring

More tidings and gifts

We shall live in your land

While you wash our feet

We shall stay in your kingdom

And eat the farthest meats

Then you shall receive

The gift from the lord

The god of your gods

The one who we are sent

The one who rules the other world

Our queen

A mighty god

her subjects like the host of heaven

Prepare for us

Now let us sleep

and bless the beauty of your land

Great narrative, shame about the font .. Neville

Wow! A very long, detailed write which is finely crafted and expressed. You paint very spine chilling images in the poem which the white light seems to bring, but white light could never bring such horrific scenes as you have depicted, Tumi. It must be an Angel of Darkness who visited, because an Angel of Light could not bring or condone such hair-raising scenes. You have left the plain font behind again and gone back to the heavy font above which does not appeal and is difficult to get used to. Please re-consider using a normal font again, Tumi. Thank you for sharing. The contents of the poem are in conflict with The Angel of Light for me...

Reminds me of what the politicians tell us each election year. lol The use of light has always been a metaphor for knowledge or understanding. A scary picture is painted here where light brings with it abuse and separation and pain. Well written

I wish our politicians would have this philosopy...and spread it...
So much hunger for power and intimidation...
