Empty Beauty

Empty Beauty

fiercely cheeky some women can be

EMPTY BEAUTY

Hello,

Hi

What’s your name?

You said why

I just asked

I meant no arm

Am just curious

But you tone is furious

I chose to be nice

But you were colder

Than ice

I’m just being friendly

But your stare has scared me

Sorry,

but I’m good

I judge from the looks

And my words are my look

My eyes see nothing

But silver and gold

My eyes hate such things

As brass and token
but your looks are like

Penury

Verily, your pocket is empty

And wallet

There is nothing

Oh my,

Your words are quick

To zone one in a box

Your eyes and cheeks

Are cheeky as it is

Your beauty might be nice

But from your mind a smell

Your eyes might deceive

But time will tell

you talk of gold

you work not for it

your words were cold

your thoughts were like heat

beauty speaks

but your true self reveals it

your beauty is like dust

that wither away

you are not worth a penny

but you keep your shoulders

in the sky

beauty is like gold

but virtue matters the most

The final two lines of the poem sum up the whole poem for me, Tumi. Some people are not naturally friendly and nothing will ever change that. To ask their name is an intrusion into their privacy as if it was an armoured tank. That's just how they are. This poem is very lyrical, sort of like rap! It could be made into a wonderful rap song! If you know someone who could do it for you, don't hesitate. You could be a millionaire yet, Tumi. This poem spells success! Great poem! Enjoyed reading very much and thank you for sharing, dear poet...

Thanks alot
Yes, virtue is what matters much more than beauty...the quiet beauty is that which is inside.
Many who are not beauteous inside do tend to stay above the clouds with their egos.
