LOST IN LOVEA Poem by Tumilove poemSeeing her lovely eyes My mind races like a horse To and fro It beats for love Bam bam bam Like a Cherokee drum
Sweating from the toes Like a dead goat Smiling by myself As I struck a pose To impress With words as “You have the beauty of a queen A lovely eye Just as a heroine” Were followed by giggles Soft chuckles as I approach To my dismay My words resign Leaving my eyes to profess It left me be Alone to meet a princess
Still looking as a clown Frozen to the short of words Expecting a frown But what I got scalded my tongue A voice comes like urgent whispers The HI made my words come back Still mumbling She picks me a seat Opening the door To whatever it may be She smiles She whispers Lost in her eyes I lost my balance Her touch made me froze At her gesture and laughs My feeling rose Putting words in my mouth I chose to let her have my heart She stands to leave But mutters to my relief “Ever try, ever fail No matter, try again Fail again Fail better” She left me alone lost Lost in love
