all was just a dream

all was just a dream

A Poem by Tumi
"

lost in my own dreams

"

My head leaned against my arms

My legs are crossed

My heart remembers the depth of our love

In my thoughts I was lost,

I dreamt

I Saw your lovely eyes

I crept

As Stealthily as a mouse

To catch a perfect glimpse of

Your pretty smile

I dreamt,

 of a better world

A life,

Filled not only with milk and honey

But peace,

 Love and harmony

treasures of joys

fullness of memories,

thoughts of our love

I dreamt,

But I was alone

My heart bites

My eyes in fright

the thought to be apart

Made me shiver

I was alone

My eyes were blurry

Still I behold

Men in blacks,

armed

They were so cold

Held me back

I was weak,

they laughed,

Chuckled

Shuddered at my soulful cries

Mocked the tears in my eyes

still lost in thought

I woke

Because all was just a dream

I enjoyed this dream. The first verse was very touching when as a mouse he moves to catch her smile. I liked the second verse a lot too. It was so idyllic and nice. The dream turned into a nightmare of sorts, dispelling the joy. The men in black seemed so ominous. I was glad when the nightmare ended.

You did a great job of narrating a dream. The poem felt like a dream as dreams are almost always disjointed and never long and not continuous and anything can happen at any point. A dream has endless possibilities.

Nice work.
