 I am a broken flower, a damaged plant

a rootless tree,

a shattered fool

without you

for you’ve been my strength and my weakness

for I love you since I was born

till I learnt to run

even while I crawl

your name is what I call

mum,

how could I have been without you

under your shadow I grew

and you very hands have been my shield

who am I without you

for the greatest treasure u are to me

still wish to be at your side
strapped at you back while you work

eating from you very hands

what more could I wish for

your heart so big, so pure

all the shortcomings you endure

even while we fight,

argue every night

each time I leave you alone

still want to remain with you

fall asleep while we embrace

we chat, we laugh

more like mates we behave

love you everyday
