heaven let me in

heaven let me in

A Poem by Tumi

heaven let me in

for I am worth to be

I a righteous being

through the account of my life you shall see

for I always visit the place of his majesty

each initial day of the week

never am I frail

never succumbed to sin

even the devil failed to me

worthy am I to be here

let me in oh ye host of heaven

open now the gates of heaven

for a righteous man comes

ready to see the lord

for holy was I all my days on earth

even till my last breath

cleansed are my heart

straight was my path

let me in

oh ye host of the holies

never shall a righteous one be out

for I should be the first their in

why are now the gates of hell turned against me?

I am always sin free

worthy am I to see

worthy am I to be in

save me oh ye

from the demons that are come to torment me

and drag me through the gates of darkness

gate of hell

a place of lament

not even the strongest can tell

filled with sorrows and teeth gnashing

built for those with regrets

shall a righteous be punished

for I see now that I’ve been wearing a stain gown
