The Dance in the Light

The Dance in the Light

A Poem by Tulpi

She is a vision to behold

As she moves in timeless music

She is draped with a robe of gold

Shimmering and twirling on the wick.

As you watch it with fascination

You seem to lose to a trance

It plays with your imagination

As it carries on an earthy dance.

You could watch it for hours

Staring with your mind’s eye;

It’s a dream belonging to the stars

Connected with a strong tie.

But it will never dawn on you

That this beauty is eating at the candle

That we will never believe whats true

That beauty is dangerous to handle

Thus its something to learn herewith

This is world’s timeless trend

That when something reaches the zenith

Fall is inevitable for its friend

The beauty of a shimmering wick

Is the story that life tells the wise

That natural and free is just a trick

That everything comes at a price

This poem has now just become one of my favorites. I love the way you go into such detail, it makes me feel like I can actually see the flame dancing on the candle. Very good poem and I cannot wait to see more from you.
