Exams

A Poem by Tulpi

Oh! Exams are really a pain in the neck

They make our life an academic wreck

On our head they always hover

But there is little relief when they are over

They test our brains and our mugging power

So that we can climb another plank of the success tower.

I really can’t say that exams are needed

For elders’ advice are never ever heeded

So, I like a teenager would proudly declare

Exams are my greatest fear.

I am smiling after reading this poem. How well I remember exam days...and the nights before them. The stuff that nightmares are made of. Of course, I also remember the nightmare of grading essay tests! :) Good poetry here. Lydia
