Stumbling

Stumbling

A Poem by Perry

"

"Your word isn’t worth much,” she says.

Helping me to a spot on the floor,

she lances me with condemnation,

a brow beautifully wrinkled, better

tortured than Ahab’s leviathan.

“I want a divorce, you sot.”
