37th & Pittsburg

37th & Pittsburg

A Poem by Ty
"

37th & Pittsburg

"
I'm sure thoughts are heavy, staring through the window at the rain.
Day dreaming and sleep, counting sheep just ain't the same.
D
Scratching at every subconscious wall, screaming for help.
Dot said, it's a long-life battle within yourself.
I'm wondering if I could even identity the emotions I've felt.
D
And may I say,
24 hours when we wake to seize the day.
Staring down the fork in the road, choose which way to take.
D
Building barriers and shields for mental protection,
Analyzing the inner most lessons.
I noticed the deflection and inner rejection.
Internal conflicts and messes.
D
Introspection affecting us.
