Hummingbird

Surreal,

It seems.

Shadows from beams

And rays of sunlight,

On warm afternoons,

Will always be better.

Colors of rainbow,

Gold, and teal,

That dripped from skies,

The canvas

Would color my hopeful emotions.

Dream.

Sweet Hummingbird sipping truth,

The seeping oil

And drill bits would keep me awake.

Exhausted.

Realizing exhausted

Is not having anyone close to call friend

And in the pond

The reflection you bent backwards for a being,

Only to have the connection questioned.

Surreal,

It seems.

Rays of sunlight

On warm afternoons,

Will always be better.
