Rehearsal

I know why the morning air dares to dance with Dandelions, 

Horizons, and Sunflowers.

The gravity of graceful stares, etched in clock hours.

Time and towering Sparrows,

Native arrows of talons through space;

As if Maya Angelou would personally tell the solar wind why the caged bird sings.

A line between ivory and a black leaf,

Gleaming particles from the sun come crashing into the magnetosphere.

Producing dancing auroras in the night sky.

A poetic rehearsal,

A performance to repeat.

In the morning.
