Alaskan Wolves

Alaskan Wolves

A Poem by Ty
"

Alaskan Wolves

"
So, yet again
I turn to you
Turned right, then left,
Lost and loose,
Who knew there’s this many shades of down and blue.
In truth I’d pretend;
Again and again, uplifted in wind
And movement and wisdom,
This and that,
These air molecules in fission of the grey and brown wings of Golden Eagles.
Candid,
I’d wear strength of Alaskan Wolves,
A stash,
I’d pull from a basket full of 'once was passion'.
Preventive maintenance,
And coping mechanisms would clash with dwindling lacking optimism,
What other option is there?
Half-awake in after thoughts,
Sought answers,
At least a fraction of what I’ve been asking for.
The thunder clouds of unknown would kiss the mountain peaks and tree tips,
Navigating thicket of deep forests,
In torrential down pours.
The audacity of a crooked smile.
Only more emotion and anger would bubble the kettle.
Pine for an outlet,
A basin,
The ocean.
Anything to cope with.
So, yet again,
I turn to you.

I love how descriptive you are when you write your poems, it makes your writing flash before my eyes like that of a movie. It's almost like I am amongst the scenery and in the poem itself when I read it, and that is truly magical. The only thing I can really point out in this poem that could be improved is the "But honest, I’d wear strength of Alaskan Wolves" the word honest, I don't know if you intended it to be like that or if you meant to use the word 'honestly' which would make more sense (although if you were meaning to use the word honest then just ignore this). Other than that, this was very well written and a joy to read!

Thank you for entering.

As always a piece full of description and imagery.

I’d wear strength of Alaskan Wolves.

I really liked this line, and the fact somebody could physically wear strength like a mask, as it is true that when we need strength we must look deep inside ourselves to find it (or wear it).

Thanks again.

i agree with Alice...the description is so vivid we feel the emotional pull this speaker has toward the subject of the poem...like an animal in the wild or some force of nature...so strong, and yet at times needing something, needing someone.

Absolutely needing someone. Absolutely correct. Happy this resonated with someone, many thanks.
this was phenomenal, I can't think of any other way to be so profoundly pictorial. I have vision of it all as if from the start it just carried me into it more and more! This is what I am loving right now!

Thanks so much! Keep dropping by, please!
Exceptionally written and fascinating flowing rhythmic poetry which intrigued the reader with a touch of ambiguity and mystery.Food for thought for those callous wolves who howl at the door of of our troubled mind.
