Lighthouse

Scoured shadows,

Depth of valleys, and meadows of metaphors

And quotes,

Coupled in thoughts and things you’d think you know,

The scripture, identity amid shores divine,

Evoked, had floated then, until; to find yourself, disinter sense.

Nature furthering nurture, aligned

Essentially innate, inherent

In essence circled around forks in roads again

Apparent a path you’d take is a path you’d ponder,

Or fathom. Deep suspense

The depth or distance my turned sonar senses would gauge

Washed ashore feels displaced, but reading on, turning over each chapter and page

Faint source of light radiating in flickering ember wooden coals

Your lantern,

A lighthouse

As if you’d turned to that lighthouse, your heart, to steer, to see,

Familiar in unknown,

Clearly a ray of guidance sling shot light beacon beamed into darkness.

Radiance; the uncovered home.

Harvest natural agents, Illumination, the stimulating sight,

Life and soul

Enlightenment, or wick and mantle burning camp fire,

As memorable stories were told

Wire filament or kerosene or oil lamps,

Narrating the trek through bush and thicket.

Sampled berries and bamboo, your nourishment, your shelter

Guidance to oversee each paragraph and sentence 

Felt her presence,

Found path

That lighthouse.

Whereever, however the jounrey takes.. along the cool stone with light a distant guide, forever ahead to beckon you into a world so warm so sustaining, it's home.. and love.. and everything that goes along with it. Your writing is so very lovely.. breath.taking in a gentle way as if sharing life..
