Sunset TangoA Poem by TySunset TangoAtop gondolas Floating, Open, Or drifting waterways of Venice Sentences played back, Past laps my memory will run. And for a minute, sensation I'd breathe, Taste, Calm, Meditation, asleep under the sun With the inverted leaves shouting, "the rain will soon come", Jaded from lack of sleep And the weight between carrying pollutants and dreams The clouds would cascade in a single file parade Soothing and cooling the land underneath, A tango of a splattered street and sheet rain. My mind, The lost city And this opaque cloud cloaked subconscious Invisible, Or deep to me, Dreams of Octopus tentacle reach Oceans in cynical speech, uncensored, and mean. I'd drift I'd leave I'd navigate straits away from chaos in search of peaceful and home As I'm certain of uncertainty The sunset will roam, Until I've reached a meadow of Electric Violet Irises and Cadmium Red Roses The dose of tranquil dove deeper Further drowsy and dozy, Louder, Yet cozy, so thankful I've reached the shore This dream would speak peace and more. © 2018 TyReviews
