Coral Reef

Coral Reef

A Poem by Ty
"

Coral Reef

"
Portray.
Coral reef
The barrier requiring heart's key,
Refocusing a bargain of trade of sun rays
In return for warmth, life, and purpose
Put forth in spoken word in choreographed silhouettes.
Earth's beauty
And we'd believe in a higher being
Clasped firm
And grasped tight spiritually
Or I'd ask you to heal the city
Hugging your soul and spirit,
Ambivalent,
Tactics
Or Avidly manifesting intellectual magic,
Intimately,
Harnessing static electricity
We'd learn of uncertain
As Earth would interject a notion,
Moments
Emotion
Grace,
Grazed and sang hymns,
Rhythmic renunciation of attachment or craving,
Cultivation in wisdom,
Compassion and kindness in sweet refined physics
Practiced meditation
And rainbows would only uniquely speak to me in daydreams, beams, and holograms
Intertwined
Entangled
Spewed valiant appellations in paint splattering lessons,
Envisioning intuition of defined wise profits,
Who spoke of separatists
So I'd masquerade in camouflage and Leopard print
To project coexist and difference
As I'd walk amongst sheep as shepherds,
Property and matter
The sun would manifest through capacity in radiation,
A shade of Dark Olive and Amazon gratitude
Greener gradient grass
As the sun set over mathematics of Stonehenge
And sundials
Advocate
Realized clouds would only offer partial shade from the heat of the sun
And in the heat of the moment
I'd grow angry
Or intelligent
Manufacturing patience,
Books, oars, and bridges.
And boats that lay afloat in belief
The buoyancy over coral reefs.

"Put forth in spoken word in choreographed silhouettes." While this piece made me pause, I could sense that the writer found peace and ease in nature. I thoroughly enjoyed how this poem allows the reader to stop and reflect about all of life's subtle beauties.
