Venus FlytrapA Poem by TyVenus FlytrapThe Venus flytrap Cemented in place in North Carolina And I can relate The living stencil of myself I've managed to trace In a sense, an extraterrestrial Nightmares or dreaming lucid As If I had teleported Venus eventually obtaining what it desires Yet remains planted I'm certain it didn't come easy The oxymoron Sprinting Ferociously swimming to achieve nowhere A mission I'd deem seemingly relentless Intended to premiere the vision and light at the end of the tunnel Apparently a hologram Apparently only an oasis, Tasteless measure in defeat I'm tired now It's exhausting, Continuing this drift atop this wave Beautiful formation to jump ship, Being Flytrap native is wetlands. Absolutely stagnant, I stood Staring Blankly thinking Not yet adapted Nor fathoming, Awaiting Fraught Desperately searching for answers Stranded Daunting Unsettling I realized image is everything Conflicted Realizing repetition isn't prediction Chasing Realizing I'd never catch the 22 I tried, I'm tired, Uniquely exhausted, Managing a balance of smiles and yes, Tip toeing a tightrope line where light and dark meet The Venus Flytrap tolerates fire Arose in burnt and concrete To emerge The Venus flytrap remains, Remains persistent Blueprint Fuming It'd take time just as sure your hair will grow. © 2017 TyReviews
