My RiverA Poem by TyMy River. Afloat In Life And Dream.A focal point leaving you mesmerized Minerals crystallized in a form Wiping sleep from your eyes in the morn., Sleep, dreams, streams, and rivers, Bedrock riverbed As I find myself split between coming and going, Misunderstandings and knowing Seasons change through November, February, and June. The Mississippi slices Northern America in two And till this day, I ask when I'll reach the basin, Complacency, Dreams Afloat atop cloud nine with sheep The river drifts me back home, Yet the current tugs and pulls, So it's a catch-22 Imitating progression and stagnation Imitation The river bank Where I'd cast lures from rocks, My throne Imitating my interactions, analysis, and results The river Mother Nature's veins, Yours, Mine flow the same Intriguing streams. I find rapids tough, Though I'd hope I've adapted, Navigating these waters, The passage, My river. © 2017 TyReviews
