ColorsA Poem by TyColorsColors What meshes us to Earth and dust The ivy-covered lattice Reflections Colors And how we see the world As it hurls, orbits, and swings Not solely color, but a physical being A feeling in bold shadowy reds of wine, emotionally invested Peru and Vert, Color is a spectrum Spectacle of speckles in prisms and rain Rainbow spilled stain, insisting it stays Pke, Pluu, Sain Berlin and Kay, '69 Paint lines, the sky, Colors eccentric and passionate in feel Draped and passing it in fields of Orchids, Lilac, Irises and still, Ashes and tree sap Brown, blue, greens, gold. Metal, An elevated electromagnetic fading into anergy Eloquence and frequency Pigments, shade, and synergy Our elements and energy Colors which according to us are essentially different Cultural development Cantonese, Tzeltal, American, Mandarin, Mandarin Duck, Oranges, Mango and Peach Volcanoes, ridges, cliffs, toes in sand, a wave, a riff, a beach The colors of you and I And these words to paint a photograph, To pass on for generations, A reflection of the past, Then, today, now, Colors. © 2017 Ty |
