Truly Hear Me

Truly Hear Me

A Poem by Ty
"

Truly Hear Me

"
Scanty thinking,
Simplistic minded,
I'll avoid the headache and rush if I sleep till noon.
Back and forth,
You should want to wear my shoes and see views as I do,
I should walk your paths,
And feel your pains too.
Why don't you listen?
Would you listen for just one minute?
Pressed against beliefs and anger, you've tackled me in the tabernacle.
If I attempt to add a digit or one minute to infinity and continue being unwilling in accepting it's inevitability,
I've regrettably and officially peaked in insanity.
Don't belittle me.
The words are swift but thick and move with weight and gravity.
I'd love not going back and forth hearing but not listening.
Visual imagery in rotating flashing images of a film reel,
Igniting colors of pedals reaching hearts in a meadow's field.
I'm certain you'll stand reserved but truly hear what I have to say.
