Alcohol

Alcohol

A Poem by Ty
"

Alcohol

"
I think you're drunk
And it's fitting
Stuffing voids like pies with it's filling
A better way to avoid awkwardness, tensions, intense moments, or sittings
I love it; you're open and giddy
No longer anxious or timid;
Just silly, silky and bendy
This evenings really been something else
Sum of some things, bumpy, when the Caddy's hydroplaning
Ties, Vans, Beanies, blouses all relating
Choose your potent poison potions, buttery melt
Completely spaced as Orion's Belt
Tomato and vodka elixirs
Bloody Mary; made many-a-margarita mixer
Serving these serpents Agave, pineapple, and Malibu dinners
Shaken or stirred;
Salt, cubes of a winter,
Brace for the stampede.
The herd, it's only the beginning
Singani, Soju, Whisky, Rum, and Remy
I'm here to manage spirits and fun, business is good and there's plenty
Funneling barrels and dozens of kegs of loneliness,
All better than drinking alone
Beer, Gin, Wine, Cider is fine
Uber feeling like a Sunday drive
Shot of Whisky?
Last call, it's almost that time.

I personally don't like drink alcohol but I like the way you described it in this poem. And how people are like when they are drunk

I love the flow and rhythm of this poem. It's sassy, it's upbeat, but it's also full of deeper thought. Overall enjoyed this thoughtful, all-fits, all-filling imagery and prose.

For some reason didn't see this. Really appreciate the review. A sliver of society in a nutshell.
