Nor'easter

Nor'easter

A Poem by ttom

 Nor’easter

Black clouds catch oceans unaware, changing
folly of a perfect day
Doomed, the fair siren flees
her jagged  rocks  now exposed
Seeking sanctuary fathoms below

Surging seas ravage sacrosanct shores
Gales shatter false peace of a cloudless sky
Eye of the storm skirted; fury subsides
Sweeping twisted wreckage out to sea

Darkness shrouds the dunes
In desolate silence
Night's watch passes slowly as
moonlight illuminates a sullen seascape

Sunrise pierces the dawn sky over rolling  waves’ horizon
Morning gulls shrill cries echo over the swollen surf
Death cedes to life anew, preparing the way
To walk  clean  sands of a new day, try
Go……………………………….

Hey, this is really good. I like the pace, the word pictures, and definitely the way it sits on the page, that's cool. You have an interesting style, I like it.
