Releasing

Releasing

A Poem by thetish
"

Just when you believe you are letting go, life lets you know the truth.

"
I let it fall away gently from my grasp
With each finger hesitantly opening
In ever slowing increments...
Every morsel of my being in fighting agreeance,
screaming out boldly in resistance.

Finally. I did it...

Slyly, a familiar wind dances by,
whirls round me, touches my cheek, my neck.
In disbelief, I watch fate unfold -
the particles gathering in a multitude.

With a swirling, a twisting, a bend -
lifting up, spreading out, then gathering in.
A waltz? No. No, a tango indeed.
Elegant, graceful, mixed with raw passion
two are involved in this game.
Drawn in by emotions, overtaken by spender,
frozen in the mystical moment.

I have done nothing...

That what was released with reverent prayer
Wanting a calm and needing freedom
again forms before my eye.
Gathering together - to a perfect whole &
Waiting to be held so close to the soul.
Begging for me. Again.

What a beautifully dark dance of letting go. There is the clinging, and the releasing, and the wondering moments in between. Your words are intense, showing the fierce fight of your soul in these mystical moments. If this is someone or something worth clinging to, hold tight. If not, "The leaves are about to show us how lovely it is to let the dead things go."
