Lunar power

Lunar power

A Poem by thetish

Glancing up into the early morning sky,
you brightly radiate magic and might,
your grandness subtle, yet refined.
Across to the East her majesty mocks in jest,
artistically coloring clouds and sky.
Gentle oranges upon soft morning blue,
True beauty that brings joy to the soul.

Back to the West I seek a response.
Will you answer with rage, disgust?
Will you show who has like power?
Or prove who has more greatness?
Aloof, disdain, you show no intrigue,
Knowing well your place in the order.
No need to challenge her grace.
No need to proclaim your grandeur.

I walk on my way, then stance, with a shiver,
A soft whisper and a kiss on the wind
A caress on my cheek & a slight tingle.
I gasp at the air, my breath robbed for me.
In shock, in surprise, my heart weighs in
asking whose soul walks this path.
Who sends their love and care to me?
What power you hold, grand lunar king.
What magic, mystery and might!
The power is strong, I bow in great awe
and forever honor your reign.

So wondrously spoken, a powerful dedication to the glory of the king of the night. How enchanted to see the light bursting through the dark, star-filled expanse. The moon has always held a magic over me, dear poet, and your words speak the why.
