Dreaming

Just something I came up with for my english class that I wrote before I knew about WritersCafe

 

In my dreams there is a world with no pain

Where life knows no bounds.

In my dreams there is no hate,

But love, peace and joyous laughter.

In my dreams there is no depression but

Hope, satisfaction, and belief.

In my dreams there is no war,

But friendship and compassion.

 

My biggest fear is waking up,

For then I return to life and reality.

For my dreams flee with the day,

In grasp just at night.

Gone in an instant,

A mere memory to my heart.

 

Some people say that pursuing dreams is wrong,

That it will lead to hurt, destruction, and evil.

But I believe in my dreams with my mind and my heart,

So my dreams fly on wings of light and love

 

And maybe one day,

 My dreams will come true.
