Growing Up

Growing Up

A Poem by staygold-staygood

running barefoot through the pavement,

not a worry in the world,

 laughing that never subsides,

unbridled until curfew arrives,

but even when it comes,

it never is too bad,

you always know that tomorrow

is not too far away.

Then you start to grow older,

and the work starts to out outgrow the play,

you worry to much about your hair and what you weigh,

the laughing begins to subside,

because you're old enough to realize,

tomorrow won't be the same as yesterday

Love the switch of scenes, yng to old. Cool
