ColorsA Poem by Lindsay.I'm black and white Simple as that A beautiful mask One without a crack.
I go day by day And night by night With color all around me. But I just don't feel right.
In my mind's mirror Black and white aren't seen. I'm the colors of the rainbow And everything in between.
And slowly but surely (thanks to you) The mask cracks The pieces begin to fall from my face And soon there's no color to lack.
Beautiful emerald in my eyes. The giggly blonde in my hair And the stately red that is woven in it And soon every color's there.
And as the last of my mask falls And as the tears come, too. I smile and calmly say "I love you." © 2008 Lindsay.Reviews
