Does One Ever Truly KnowA Poem by Lindsay.
Does one ever truly know
Where love and friendships go After all is said and done And you're wishing that love had never begun? Do they go where broken dreams fade, Where everyone's always afraid? Do they go where pain and love become one, Where whatever true love there was, becomes undone? Do they go over the seas of our dreams Where everything gleams With a light of pure gold That you can almost seem to hold? Do they go where the sky meets the sea Do they go where the sun seems to flee? Do they go where we dream Where we are all supreme? Do they go were the first star is seen Where every girl is a queen? Do they go where the last star sets Where the same girl's love leaves always regrets? Do they go where unicorns now roam? Where even the fairies find home? Where elves now live And where the harmed always forgive? Does one ever truly know Where love and friendships go When you lose touch with that once good friend And soon your friendship's at an end? It goes to where we will always wish For true love's finest dish: A hug and a kiss From one we will always miss. © 2008 Lindsay. |
