Stars

Stars twinkle above my head

As I lay on your chest.

Eyes slowly closing,

I soon get peaceful rest.

 

Stars- a grand, new hope

Empty space- so much to gain

Two beating hearts- so much to love

Weighted silence- so much hidden pain

 

I wish upon the Stars,

‘Please give me courage to tell’

My silent wish granted

At the sound of church bells
