The Past Meets the Present

The Past Meets the Present

A Poem by Lindsay.

Flying and soaring

through the air

Then crashing and burning

He doesn’t care

She used to be

willing and waiting

Now she can truly see

This wasn’t meant to be.

There was no use waiting.

Fell too fast in love

Fell too fast out of it too

This was never love

It was never even true.

He didn’t love her

That was easy to see

But she still kept waiting

She should have just let him be.

Now her heart

as been broken and  mended

She has a new love

And it still hasn’t ended.
