Ice Queen

Ice Queen

A Poem by Lindsay.

With petals

Falling silently

to the

ground

Her breath

being seen

less and

less

Her once

warm body

growing

cold.

“Is this

what happens

when one’s soul

dies?

“Is this how

it will end?”

Her last thoughts

before eternal darkness.

She breathes

on the outside

But inside…

She can’t.

In her mental

landscape of

Ice and

petals,

She lives without

Living

And breathes without

breathing.

She is the

Ice Queen

living alone in

her castle.

With petals

Falling silently

to the

ground.
