Hiding the tears

using a mask.

Hiding the pain

behind giant smiles.

Hiding the fear

with false courage.

Hiding the past

with the lies.

Hiding the lies

with pieces of truth.

 

I’m forever hiding

in a place

no one can find

 

I’m forever lying

hoping to make

another’s dreams

come true.

 

I’m forever hiding the past

covering it up with lies and smiles

Wishing it away

Wishing it was just a dream.

lying.

hiding.

smiling.
