Hooks

Hooks

A Poem by T.S. Claus

You are handsome when the bowl falls clean
It busts into a thousand pieces
Did you mean it when you said, "I'm done?"
You were twice the man that day

I have wanted to be yours
Between a string of your blue moon binges
Many nights coming second to the meth
I wish I could be there with you

People hook to different things don't they, if it could be mutual it would be simpler. I like the tone and style, how the thoughts are revealed, with a natural and a thinking back to the time feel. It's good.
