Face of the floor

Face of the floor

A Poem by Jb

Stop kidding yourself
This life has some good
Maybe too much good to last?
But forget the past,
You're too young to care
Too young to be left behind
So run now, it's all moving too fast
You're too young to think
About how today colliding with tomorrow
The sun will bring hell, but it'll all be well
So quit your worrying, just abandon yourself and go
Go now, jump into that slipstream
Of alcohol and amphetamines
Because this is all we have now
On this marry-go-round,
Comprised of trips and come downs
The cycle of chaos, spinning round and round
That no one ever escapes
Because we're too stoned to care
And we're all nullified
Because our hearts just aren't there
But we're subsisting on all the highs
We're existing, though no one tries
So maybe you were kidding yourself?
Maybe you were break free
Maybe you broke with it all to fast
Maybe this life was just good to last.
