If anyone really cared

If anyone really cared

A Poem by Jb

If you really cared, then you'd realize that I'm burning.

You woudn't just say you're sorry that I'm trapped in this fire.

No, you would come running with a bucket of water,

And you would heave that bucket.

You'd make sure that every drop of water would kill that fire.

You'd make sure that every drop of water would bring me back to life.

And if the water failed to quell the flames,

You would run in after me.

You'd run in knowing that even if we both burned,

Atleast we'd burn together.

You'd be prepared to turn to ash,

Aslong as you knew that you'd turn to ash with me.

But I'm not worth you're life,

Since I'm not worth my own life...

Because if you really cared, if anyone really cared,

They'd realize that I'm burning.
