This world was never meant for me

This world was never meant for me

A Poem by Jb

Perhaps you'll listen now

As the hope is draining from my finger tips

This world was never meant

To be embedded with my foot prints

To be flooded with my tears

There's only enough room for pure white snow

And blank stairs that cover me

As I try to speak, the dying dove

Wings floating amongst the crowd

Can't fly anymore,

Because the sky was never meant

To hold such a disaster

Gliding amongst the suffering

Unstable air

I know you won't listen though

Even though the night is falling

Daffodils folding in to rest until spring

The emerald grass all weathered

Just like my heart

I now understand

What you're trying to say

But you will never understand

How I've needed to set myself free

To the point where I'm bleeding,

Life escaping beneath the stars

Taking my eyes away

I could have told you

That this life was never meant

For such an aimless dream

For such a frightening scream

The thorn, the chip amongst the crystal

So do you know?

Do you know where I need to go?

Can you listen for the insanity?

This world was never meant

For me
