Innocence

Innocence

A Poem by Jb

Born and raised, that was our time

Behind daizies and tall grass

Sugar highs and summer crushes

Laughter stemming from thoughts so crass

Bittersweet endings, new begginings

Each passing moment of each passing day

Wishing and hoping to move on already

Find ourselves another way

Another hope to run with

Another kite to fly

Another soul to laugh with

Another clear blue sky

Another simplistic dream

Another stare so dazed

That was our time, our time to build upon

Behind daizies and tall grass, we were born and raised

Lovely. Great use of imagery and I love the gentle flow and rhyming scheme. The only error I found was misspelling "daises", but it is a wonderfully beautiful piece nonetheless. The title is a great fit. Thank you.

A very interesting and well written poem. There wasn't anything too bad spelling wise. Just the word daisies is misspelled, but that isn't too bad. Overall, a very good poem.
