Too late

Too late

A Poem by Jb

Wandering aimlessly

Through the empty isles

My eyes both glazed over

Fading with past smiles

Legs growing heavy

But I must keep going

Or else I will die

I can feel my pulse slowing

Stars dance around me

Black fades in and out

I try to scream for help

But can barely shout

My voice has escaped me

My words are all lost

I'll take back my mistakes

Survive at any cost

But it's too late for forgiveness

My sins will remain

So I'll numb myself forever

To escape the pain

Ah, but should that really be your answer. Time can bend, and sometimes even break. This is a good piece, good flow and rhyme. But sad, and depressing. This world needs more. Us people need more.
