AlmostA Poem by Truman S. BoothI almost didn't write this.
I almost said hi to her.
She almost said hi back. I almost made a clever joke. She almost laughed. I almost asked her to a movie. She almost said Yes. We almost held hands. I almost asked her out again. She almost made time for me. I almost took her to her favorite Italian restaurant. She almost ordered my favorite dish. I almost walked her to her door. She almost bit her lip. We almost kissed. I almost hiked up a mountain with her. She almost wore these cute blue shorts. I almost brought my iPod with a playlist titled "For the Summit." She almost picked her favorite song. I almost put my arms around her waist. She almost rested hers on my shoulders. We almost danced. I almost took her to her hometown. She almost showed me her elementary school. I almost reminded her we met there. She almost remembered and gasped. I almost knelt on one knee. She almost said Yes. We almost married. She almost said Yes, But I didn't say hi.

I love language, piano, animated movie.. more..Writing
