Three Billion

Three Billion

A Chapter by Truman S. Booth
"

to One

"

Would you love me

If I told you I’d always be there

Would you even care?

Or would you just say

“Thanks” and walk away?

Would you love me

If I told you that I could be true,

That there’s no one else but you?

Would we still be friends

Or would everything end?

Would you love me

If I told you I love you?

Would you leave him

If I told you that I can be more

Than all he’s got in store?

Would you walk my way?

Maybe just for a day?

Would you kiss me

If we went to the river to dance

Would you hold my glance?

And as I leaned in

Would you let us begin?

Would you love me

If I told you I love you?

There’re over three billion of me’s in the world

But there’s only one of you

A brilliant beautifully wonderful girl

With so many boys she could choose

Why would she even consider me?

So I figure my chances when all’s said and done

Are over three billion to one

Author's Note

Truman S. Booth
This was originally two songs with very different rhythms, and I combined them into this unorthodox arrangement. I like it, though.

About
I am a young writer, but I believe that talent knows no age--although they tend to increase together. There are a few things I love, and a few things I hate. I love language, piano, animated movie.. more..
