You Got Me Thinkin'

You Got Me Thinkin'

A Chapter by Truman S. Booth
"

My friend wrote this one. I wrote the music, so it still counts as an original song.

"

You got me thinkin’

‘Cause you’re over there winkin’

I don’t even know what I’m

Supposed to be thinkin’

You say I’m too aggressive

Well, that is quite impressive

But I’m not even bein’ that obsessive

What does “being friends” mean?

Is it on me that you’ll lean?

No, you’re not a drama queen.

How’d you like us to be seen?

I just want this to work out

You and me without a doubt

That’s what “friendship” is really about.

In the past I’ve been confused

You could say used or even abused

But now there’s everything to lose

You are the last one

If things don’t work I’m done

But please don’t run

‘Cause I lose and the world won

You got me thinkin’

‘Cause you’re over there winkin’

I don’t even know what I’m

Supposed to be thinkin’

You say I’m too aggressive

Well, that is quite impressive

But I’m not even bein’ that obsessive

I hope you understand how I feel

If I had to, I’d invent the wheel

Just to see you, it’s that big of a deal.

I just need to know how you feel!

Many have told me about you

But I still don’t know what is true

I’ll do what I have to do

Just to be with you

About
I am a young writer, but I believe that talent knows no age--although they tend to increase together. There are a few things I love, and a few things I hate. I love language, piano, animated movie.. more..
