The Flower on her CapA Poem by Truman S. BoothWinter looks so cute on her. (the picture isn't perfect, but it gives the general idea)
I don't like the word "beanie."
It connotates vegetables, Brown, black-eyed, baked, None of which, to me, are lovely. But she is lovely. I prefer, instead, the word "cap." It may not be perfectly descriptive As "cap" often brings to mind Bills or visors on a head covering. Her cap has no visor. But her cap has a flower. A lovely, woven flower Of white, and light gray. But gray connotates dullness-- She is not dull. Perhaps a better word is "charcoal." Or "blazing coal" Although coal becomes white when blazing So ash. The flower is white, and ash. This flower on this cap-- Her lovely, black cap, Black as coal-- It is her. The flower is her. White--pure. Ash--burnt, but beautiful.
